Marnie Kean, LCSW

Marnie comes to us with over 15 years of experience working with older adults and families in the Jewish community. Familiar with various area agencies and community resources, she has worked as an Older Adult Intake Coordinator and Elder Care Social Worker and has had extensive training in working with older adults. Marnie earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and a master of social work degree from Fordham University.

Marnie looks forward to working with both individual and groups of residents of the Wilentz Residence. Marnie lives in Highland Park with her son and is an active member of Ahavas Achim Congregation. She enjoys spending time with friends, family and attending community events. She is a past regional Area Vice President of Hadassah Southern New Jersey Region and founded the young women’s group, L’Dor V’Dor of Raritan Valley. She was also involved with Hadassah National Young Women’s Face2Face Mission to Israel while sitting on the National Young Women’s Committee.

Marnie said that the best thing about working on the Wilf Campus is the kindness that goes into helping the residents from the staff, as well as the wealth of resources available to the residents and the residents’ strengths and abilities.

“I am looking forward to working with the residents, staff and communities of the Wilf Campus,” she said.

Awilda Perez

The Oscar & Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living in Somerset welcomed Awilda Perez of Union as its new Executive Director of Wilentz Senior Residence at the beginning of 2015.

For 18 years, Awilda gained professional experience within the affordable housing industry with a concentration in senior and multi-family housing. She was previously affiliated with the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA), PHS Senior Living, and Community Realty Management. She received the Excellence in Housing and Management Award from the NJHMFA. She also earned the following certifications through the Institute of Real Estate Management and National Center for Housing Management): ARM (Accredit Residential Manager) AHM (Assisted Housing Manager), COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist). She is also a certified credit compliance professional.

Awilda strongly believes in building and being part of strong work teams and being approachable to both staff and residents.

She enjoys camping, photography and travel. She resides in Union with her family and their loving dog, Buddy.

Sondra Taylor

Sondra comes to Wilentz with a great deal of experience in the Senior Housing Industry. She is a Certified- Assisted Housing manager who has been an occupancy assistant for many years. Sondra enjoys working with Older Adults and individuals with Special Needs. She loves to make the people she works with smile.

Sondra resides in Elizabeth with her husband, daughter and son. She is a grandmother of three granddaughters who are the apples of her eye. Sondra enjoys church, hair styling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Sabah Mahmud

Congregate Activities and Dining Services Coordinator

The Oscar and Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living welcomed Sabah Mahmud as its new Congregate Coordinator in January 2017.

Sabah is currently studying at Rutgers University, pursuing a major in Public Health and a minor in Biological Sciences. Her interest is a career in healthcare, working in an environment with others where she can make a direct impact on people’s lives.

The position of Congregate Coordinator enables her to do just that. In her role she spends time getting to know residents and plans trips and activities that meet their varied interests. She also has responsibility on an administrative level, planning and maintaining meal plans and housing services as well as billing for residents.

Sabah is constantly learning from both staff and residents. Her patience, open-mindedness and understanding of others makes her uniquely qualified as the Congregate Coordinator, interacting with senior residents on the Wilf Campus for Senior Living.

Sabah currently live in Flemington, NJ, with her parents and twin sister. She aspires to travel throughout Asia to gain an understanding of various cultures and religions, and work towards preventing communicable diseases and promoting improved health practices around the world.
